Mammoths Rise from Extinction

The team name was chosen after Mammoths President Will Riley learned a mammoth tusk was discovered in Scarborough in 1959.

The NAL office in Atlanta has announced the expected return of the Maine Mammoths for the 2020 season.

The Portland, ME team was founded in 2017, and had their inaugural season in 2018. In their first and only season, they went 7-8 after a slow 2-8 start.

The team suspended operations in 2019 to find new ownership. Names of owners will be release in the “days to come” according the National Arena League press release.

Pending final approval, the Mammoths will be the seventh NAL franchise.
